ANGELA RUFFER
Owner/ Director of Bavaria Restaurant

Angela Ruffer is the Owner/ Director of Bavaria Restaurant, Angela and her late husband Joel Thibault opened Bavaria Restaurant in February 2000.

She was born in Bavaria; Munich Germany, and has lived in Whistler for 23 years.

She is a very successful entrepreneur, and holds a BMA degree (Bachelor of Management Arts), a college degree in property Management, and a College Diploma as BC Court interpreter. (Qualified to interpret, legal proceedings in, and for the Courts of British Columbia Canada; in the English and German languages.)

In 2002 she was nominated and voted “Business Woman of the Year”.

Angela wrote restaurant editorials for a major Vancouver magazine, and worked at Expo 86 for 3 months in Operation Staffing. (Hiring, and training of staff for the Expo site.) She owned and operated Whistler Executive Accommodations Ltd. For 9 years, a large property management company, she also started one the first cosmetic salons in Langley, BC; called “Figuration slimming and Cosmetic centre” she had a total of three salons one in Langley, White Rock and Surrey. Her hobbies include skiing, swimming, hiking, and lots of traveling.

Frederic Jardot
General Manager, Sommelier

Fred Jardot was born South of France in Provence. He grew up emits the Sun, Sea and the Vineyards. He studied agronomy, biology, and holds a degree in marketing.

Fred moved to Whistler with his wife in 2001. Both his children were born in Whistler.

He has experience in many different styles of restaurants: for example; a Bistro in France (La Source-South of France), fondue restaurant in French Alps (L’Eterlou); Four Star fine dining in St Barthelemy Caribbean Island (Eden Rock and Vincent Adam); and Five Star in New York Manhattan (La Cote Basque-Fifth Avenue), in Montreal at St Amable.

The past five years he has shared his expertise as General Manager at Bavaria Restaurant in Whistler.

His experience is polyvalent, alternate Bistro, Casual restaurant and Top Fine dining.

His passions are Road Biking, Soccer, Fly Fishing, and Fine Wines.
